Sometimes we get misunderstood, no matter which language we speak. At the same time, we behave differently with each language we use. We visualized two words (I and you) in three languages pronounced by female and male voices. We made digital recordings of the voices and turned them into graphical representations by interpreting the sound’s raw data as an image. We chose to use digital Jacquard weaving because it’s also a technique to turn data into imagery. Three colours were used to distinguish different languages.
